1) Over your xmas or summer break, listen to these podcasts2) Get logged into the Elsevier website with your authorization code from the textbook (Elsevier texts are the only ones I think are worth buying new, their website is much betterer). 3) Read the chapters ahead of class. Only read the large font. Most of the smaller font stuff is safe to ignore. 4) Take the practice for exam quizzes on the Elsevier site. 5) Print out the Key Points PDFs from the Elsevier site. Use these for taking notes during class instead of the power points. I really hate power points. 6) When the instructor hands out practice exams, Google some of the questions. Go to the search results at Quizlet and select the ones that have the rationals in the cards. Print these out and study. 7) During the exams, use all the test taking tips you have learned. One tip the instructor gave us regarding a typical NCLEX type question where there seems to be multiple good answers is look for the one that has a fact in it versus the ones that just make good sense.
